Candle Care

To fully maximize the enchantment of your wood wick candle, it is important to provide it with proper care. Here are some tips for a better experience burning your SCC candles:

 

burn enough time- the first time you light your wood wick candle, be sure to burn it for around an hour, this helps the wax to melt completely to the edges of the container to prevent “tunneling”.
 
trim the wick- every time before relighting your candle, trim the wick to 1/8" to 3/16" tall to keep the wax clean and burning nicely (you can use a wick trimmer or nail clipper).
 
avoid burning for too long- burn your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time. 
 
burn in sight- never leave a burning candle unattended, be sure to extinguish the candle before leaving the room.
 
safely store your candles- place candle on a stable, heat resistant surface away from flammable objects before lighting, and keep candles out of the reach of children and pets.
